We would like to bring to your attention the recently open Call for Proposals EUBA-EFSA-2024-PLANTS-04: Support for the revision of the guidance on terrestrial ecotoxicology including the development of an approach for indirect effects. The call documents are available on the EU Funding and Tenders portal ref. EUBA-EFSA-2024-PLANTS-04 and announced on the EFSA Grants webpage.
Please disseminate this information among interested colleagues within your organisation and other Art.36 Competent Organisations, having the necessary expertise. Call proposals shall be submitted by consortia of at least 3 organisations. You may refer to your country EFSA national Focal Point for support in this effort at European level.

Objectives: The objective of the call is to identify partners among Competent Organisations of Art. 36 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 which can support the EFSA Working Group in addressing the mandate on the revision of Terrestrial Ecotoxicology Guidance Document (SANCO/10329/2002) for plant protection products and the mandate for developing an approach to assess potential indirect effects of pesticides on biodiversity via trophic interactions under agro-environmental conditions in the context of the Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.
Eligibility: For this call eligible Art.36 list organisations need to be also designated as a competent Authority by a Member State to carry out the obligations of the Member States in application of article 75 of Regulations (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009, or acting on behalf of such competent Authority through an official contract or agreement.
Budget: The maximum budget EFSA has available is € 1,000,000 (one Framework Partnership Agreement of max. 4 years, to be implemented via Specific Agreements of typically 24 months - detailing tasks, methodological approaches, deliverables and timelines).
Financing of this EFSA grant is not linked to costs but to achievement of results.
