The laboratory is dealing with the mechanisation of farm practices: specifically with soil tillage and the effects to the soil, design and development of farm equipment, testing of farm machinery, measurements of forces developed and power requirement of farm machinery working in the field, crop residues management, biomass harvesting and handling mechanization, energy crops and crop rotations and their interaction to soil tillage systems, farm machinery management, vegetable oils extraction by cold pressing and their use in farm tractors to develop energy self-sufficient farms, modeling erosion and runoff for soil protection,, precision agriculture applications in crops like cotton, cereals and high value crops like apples, vines and pears, robotics applications in agriculture and development of autonomous vehicles.
